🌒 Is A Bmw E36 A Good First Car
A BMW 3-series is the best BMW for first-time car owners. The 3-series can reach 240,000 miles, which means a used model has plenty of life left. Furthermore, compared to other BMWs, 3-series have relatively low annual maintenance cost ($780) and reasonable annual insurance cost ($2,400). However, that certainly doesn’t answer the question
It's a good drift car, although you need to do some work on it, rims&tyres. Some weight reduction and suspension work. Don't forget to change the clutch into a performance unit. That's all you'll need for some nice beginner sideways driving ! ! ! :supdude: Current: 1994 318iS. Sold: 1993 E36 325i.
The E36 was and is a hell of a car though. First of the (semi) modern 3 series and won car of the year constantly. They spent the better part of a decade designing it and then sold it for another decade.
250,000 miles can be regarded as a good mileage for the BMW E36. It’s a very sturdy car with robust parts and solid reliability. It can last a lifetime if it never gets into a major accident and is maintained properly. So, if maintenance history is good and there had only been one or two owners of the car throughout, a BMW E36 with 250,000
As far as I know the are only 3 auto trannys. A4s 270R. A4s 310R. A5S 310Z. the latter is in 328/M3's. No, the 328i/is/ic used the A4S310R the M3 used the a5S 310Z in the USA/NA market. In Europe all e36s could be had with the 5 speed auto used in the M3, not in the US. I believe the TCM is different for those models.

MSRP started on target at $35,800. BMW North America listed a still respectable zero-to-60 time of 6.0 seconds for this 240-horsepower M3. Orders flooded in. Where BMW sold about 5100 copies of the original M3 during its entire four-year run in the States, this new one found more than 10,000 buyers in just its first year.
For 2001, however, BMW went from healthy to insane, swapping in the then-new E46 M3’s engine, which in the M Roadster would produce 315 horsepower made at a screaming 7,400 rpm. BMW made a
Overall, the BMW E36 3 Series is a great starter BMW. It’s cheap, fun to drive and good looking, while also being a nice slice of old-school BMW, thanks to its delicious hydraulic steering. Sure, it’s not the most reliable of cars and it will frustrate you but it’s cheap enough to fix and can be wrenched on yourself.
